How a trade works, from listing to unboxing

List it and declare its value
Shoot the required photo slots and fill in the spec sheet. Your declared value is what you're insured for, matched on and pay on, so state it honestly.

Get matched by spec
Every hour we look for owners whose wants fit your instrument and whose instrument fits yours, including three-way trades routed through a partner luthier.

Sign and put down a deposit
Both sides verify their ID and sign the same trade terms, snapshotted with the full spec. A deposit of X% is held until the trade closes.
- 4
Pack it on camera
Film the packing with your trade code in frame, or use a store's pack-and-ship receipt. It ships insured for its declared value.
- 5
Unbox and accept
You get 72 hours to film the unboxing and check it against the signed spec. Accept and your deposit comes back. If it doesn't match, your video opens a dispute.
